With the recent changes to the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, PVGs have become Mandatory for all staff and volunteers in Regulated Roles, but do you know what to do when conviction information is disclosed on a PVG?
Delivered by Access to Industry, this session will provide reassuring information to your organisation which ensures fair & safe recruitment of volunteers and/or Staff to Regulated Roles.
The session will cover:
- Conviction information on a PVG – what does it mean?
- Weighing up Risk
- Understanding spent and unspent convictions
- Legalities of PVG and criminal records when recruiting to Regulated Roles
- The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act
- Making reasonable adjustments
- Disclosure Records
