
Midlothian Volunteer Awards 2026

The Midlothian Volunteer Awards are all about recognising & celebrating the amazing efforts of volunteers across Midlothian. The Awards are organised by Midlothian Community Action with support from our sponsors.
What will happen on the night?
The ceremony takes place at the beautiful Newbattle Abbey College, with doors opening at 6.30pm for a prompt 7pm start.
The dress code is smart/casual. There will be a piper at the start of the event to welcome everyone, and a photographer who will take pictures throughout.
During the ceremony, the winners of each category will be announced by our event sponsors. There will be an opportunity for winners to get photos taken during and after the ceremony. Refreshments and a light buffet will be served after the ceremony, with various dietary requirements catered to.
Accessibility Information
The main ceremony takes place in the Drawing Room on the first floor of the main building at Newbattle Abbey College. The reception and buffet will take place in the Crypt room. Enter via the main entrance.
There are 4 designated Blue Badge parking bays at the main entrance. There is no wheelchair access beyond the reception. Wheelchair access to the main building is via an accessible lift at The Courtyard Entrance, please let us know if you require use of the lift and a member of staff will assist you on arrival.
Accessible toilet facilities are located on the ground floor (left hand transfer) and on the second floor (left hand transfer).
