Conversation Café
Are you looking to improve your English language skills while connecting with a diverse and welcoming community? Look no further than The Conversation Café! Every Tuesday & Thursday at 10am – 11.30am at our Volunteer Hub in Dalkeith.
Connect Online
The Connect Online project recruits volunteers who are comfortable using and sharing technology. Volunteers provide support and tuition to older people who need assistance to stay in touch with family and friends, to maintain their independence or even just to feed their curiosity.
Forward Mid
Forward Mid is a group of active, purposeful, energised, skilled disabled people from Midlothian. The group’s aim is to ensure that disabled people are always treated with dignity and respect – as full, active and equal citizens.
Grassy Riggs
Grassy Riggs is a service for older people and their carers in Woodburn, Dalkeith based in the Woodburn Community Hub.
Transform: Supported Volunteering for Young People
Delivered directly by Midlothian Community Action, our Transform Project offers young people (15-24 years old) the opportunity to volunteer as part of a small group with full support and supervision from a Youth Support Coordinator.

Volunteer Like a BOSS
Since its inception in April 2023, the “Volunteer like a BOSS” project has been on a mission to transform volunteers into empowered, skilled, and confident individuals ready to conquer the world of work.
Midlothian Climate Action Network (MCAN)
The Midlothian Climate Action Network is a growing network of community groups and organisations across Midlothian, who want to act on the climate and nature crises.
Midlothian Financial Inclusion Network (MFIN)
The purpose of MFIN, which has over 20 participating organisations, is to help relieve poverty and promote public awareness around matters relating to the management of personal finances.
